Bonny won her battle with breast cancer in 2003! As a radio personality Bonny talked about her fight on the air and listeners asked her to speak at their fund raisers and events. She renewed the hope and courage in those who were still engaged in their own battles.

Bonny's surgeon inspired her to focus her efforts into raising funds for local women not covered by insurance for wigs. "As a breast cancer survivor myself, I decided I wanted to be a resource for those going down that same road."

Making decisions based on "faith not fear" was key for her peace. Bonny has formed a women's prayer circle for those battling cancer at Ingomar Church. A speaker helps to educate the circle with ways to be healthier. Hair Peace Charities also helps cancer patients with prayer quilts, meals, cards, flower planting and so much more.
